Saginaw Twp EA – We are awaiting the Arbitrator’s decision on improper placement on the salary schedule. It should be here any day now.

E. MESSA Senate Bills –
Wants to implement statewide health insurance will eliminate locals ability to bargain health insurance
F. Locals Bridgeport – Records from secretary not returned to local after she left.
Swan Valley ESP – Contract for wage needs to be finalized.
Birch Run – Some lay offs and reshuffling of employees.
Sag Twp – Starting negotiations.
G. MEA Financial Services – Plans explained also Unsung Heroes Awards Program
H. Uniserv Director –
Communication discussed. How to spend PAC money discussed.
V. SCPAC
A. Lobby Day – Feb 23.
Want statewide health plan.
Roger Kahn contacted to meet with us.
We need a delegation from Saginaw at 10:30 on 2-23-05. One rep from
each local needed.
VI. Old Business
A. Buena Vista and Bridgeport transfers to 11A CC – Approval motion – motion carried.
B. OPIE/Family Day – May 3, 2005
Names of award winners to next meeting from all locals by March 1st.
Invitations will go out after Easter break to all locals.
VII. New Business
A. Saginaw County Spelling Bee. Make a motion to contribute $50.00. Fee for ad – motion carried.
